Lakewood has been taking the lead in sustainability since 2003 through the creation of a Comprehensive Plan based on sustainability goals for City operations and community involvement. The City is actively engaged in numerous sustainable initiatives that will provide a better way of life and economic vitality for the city and region. We strive to look holistically at issues and provide solutions that will enhance our natural environment and built infrastructure for future generations to come.
