Temporary Part Time
Volleyball Coach
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Knowledge and instruction of current volleyball techniques or willingness
to learn.
Ability to maintain attention of youth in an athletic environment.
Develop and implement an effective schedule, according to skill and
age level for every practice.
Prepare the gym for volleyball game play, i.e. setup nets and prepare
equipment.
Maintain conditions of playing area.
Maintain a safe and supervised environment.
Supervision of participants at all times.
Attend to minor accidents and emergency situations.
Act as a liaison between players, parents and programmer/coordinator.
Be able to work under minimal supervision following program policies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Basic knowledge of USA Volleyball offensive and defensive strategies.
Set up and maintain volleyball equipment, included but not limited
to net set up.
Ability to work with youth ages 7 to 18 years old.
Knowledge and ability to demonstrate proper volleyball techniques. Basic
first aid.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
This position involves working in a gymnasium instructing/coaching
volleyball.
Must have the ability to lift 40 pounds.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Experience coaching youth volleyball preferred.
First Aid, CPR and AED Certifications are helpful, but not necessary.
USA Volleyball IMPACT Certification is helpful.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
DATES/SALARY:
This position is for Fall C.A.R.A, August 30th through November 7th,
2010.
Work Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday (between 4-9pm) and Saturdays
(times vary).
Salary will be based on certification(s), qualification(s) and experience;
Range is $7.28-$11/hr.
Criminal background check is required.
