Master's Swimming Coach
SALARY: Starting at $12/hour depending on
qualifications
JOB SUMMARY
Meets new swimmers and welcomes them to the program. Trains
swimmers, both for fitness and competition, with an ample number
of work outs to serve the needs of the group. Teaches swimmers
the technical aspects of swimming: all 4 major strokes, starts, turns,
pacing, etc. Accommodates and encourages competitive or team
events, such as swim meets, postal swims, time trials, fun contests
and the like. Designs the workouts to build team community.
Work with the team representative to provide regular communication
to team members. Market the team through any promotional ideas,
projects deemed beneficial.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
Education and Experience:
- Upper level swimming or coaching experience and knowledge of
stroke technique
- Early morning and weekend availability is required for this
position. Possible
option for some mid-afternoon hours.
- Criminal background check required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)
Certifications:
- Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification
or equivalent
- Current American Red Cross CPR/AED for the PR Certification or
equivalent
- Current American Red Cross Standard First Aid Certification or
equivalent
