The City of Lakewood is pleased to announce the availability of ACH Direct Payment to sewer customers served by the City of Lakewood Sewer District only. This service will allow water and sewer charges to be automatically deducted from your checking or savings account. *Please note: this program is not available for payment of your stormwater bill.

Upon enrollment in the program, your account will be debited each billing cycle between the 12th and the 16th day of the month. Your statement will be mailed as usual but will reflect a zero balance due.

If you do not agree with your bill, you have until the 10th day of the month after you are billed to dispute any charges. Once we have been notified of the discrepancy, the Accounting Division will postpone the automatic payment transfer until the matter has been resolved.

You can terminate your participation in the program at any time by notifying the Accounting Division in writing. Your request must be received by the 10th day of the month after you have been billed or the termination will not go into effect until the following billing cycle.

If your participation is terminated by the Accounting Division or you terminate the automatic withdrawal, you must wait twelve months before you are able to participate in the program again.

If you have two insufficient fund payments within a twelve-month period, you will be removed from the program. A service charge of $18.00 will be placed on your account for each returned transaction.
