Municipal Court Judges
Municipal Court Judges

The Municipal Court has two Full-time Judges and six Associate Municipal Judges.

 

 

Division A

Presiding Judge Anne Stavig was appointed Presiding Municipal Judge in July, 2008. She graduated from Colorado College in Colorado Springs in 1981 with a degree in political science. She received her law degree in 1985 from the University of Colorado School Of Law and was admitted to the Colorado bar in October 1985.

Judge Stavig started working with the Jefferson County District Attorney’s office in 1984.  She prosecuted adult felony cases for most of her 24 years at the District Attorney’s office but also worked several years in the juvenile division. Her strong interest in juvenile justice prompted Judge Stavig to volunteer to return to the juvenile division in 2007. She continues to work on the prevention of juvenile crime.

Judge Stavig is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the First Judicial Bar Association, the Jefferson County Criminal Justice Strategic Planning Subcommittee on Juvenile Crime Prevention, and the Jefferson County Criminal Justice Strategic Planning Subcommittee on System Performance. She is also a Board Member of the Youth Alcohol Intervention Program and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Municipal Judges Association. She lives in Lakewood with her husband and two daughters.

Division B

Judge Daniel E. Ramsey, was appointed Municipal Judge in 1990. He graduated from Purdue University in Aeronautical Engineering in 1965. He then moved to the Denver area. He has lived since 1977 in Lakewood. Married since 1966, he has two married daughters and five grandchildren.

Judge Ramsey received his law degree from the University of Denver in 1972 and was admitted to practice in Colorado and before the U.S. District Court that same year. He was admitted before the US Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the US Supreme Court in 1980.

Judge Ramsey was an engineer/contracts specialist with the then Martin Marietta Corporation (1965 - 1973), was a prosecutor in the city of Englewood Municipal Court (1973 - 1975) and was a private practitioner and a part-time Arapahoe Community College instructor for two years (1975 - 1977). He was an Assistant Jefferson County Attorney for 13 years (1977 - 1990) before taking the bench. He is a member of the American Judges, Colorado Bar, Colorado Municipal Judges, and First Judicial District Bar Associations. He is also a longtime member of the Jefferson County Corrections Board.

 

 

 

 

Division C

Judge Ingrid S. Bakke was appointed as an Associate Judge in September, 2009.  She graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1985 with a degree in psychology.  She received her law degree in 1990 from the Denver University Law School and was admitted to the bar in October of 1990.

Judge Bakke worked for the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office from 1990-2001 at which time she went to work for the Boulder County District Attorney’s Office and became a Chief Deputy.  During her time as a prosecutor she specialized in the areas of crimes against children, domestic violence, and sexual assaults.  She has taught locally, nationally and internationally regarding trial skills and the prosecution of sex crimes.  She was appointed to the Sex Offender Management Board in 2001 and was subsequently appointed as the Chair.   In 2007 she left the Board and the DA’s Office in order to enter into private practice doing criminal law, dependency and neglect work and taking appointments as a guardian ad litem for children.
