Mayor's "State of the City" Speech Benefits Community

This year's State of the City address by Mayor Bob Murphy will be given at a March 10 benefit luncheon sponsored by the Lakewood Foothills Rotary Club. Proceeds from the event will benefit several Lakewood nonprofits such as the Jeffco Action Center and programs at Warren Tech. Individual and group tickets are available at several price levels. The Mayor's speech will be taped during the event for rebroadcast later on KLTV8, the City's cable TV channel, and for viewing online.

The 2010 State of the City address will describe how a strong community survives, even in difficult times, and moves on to prosper. Business owners, community leaders, and residents will hear about the creation of new City programs for small businesses, the preparation for investments, the groundwork for job creation and the commitment to the new energy economy.
